Why P2?

The P2 Collective was created in 2023 by Tom and Sam - friends and craftsmen with a shared passion for men’s hair and doing things the right way.

From the beginning, our idea was simple: to create more than just a salon.

We wanted to build a collective - a space where quality, consistency, and community come together.

Every appointment at P2 is personal. Our team works across all hair types and lengths, taking the time to understand what works for you, so you leave feeling confident and comfortable with your look.

We operate on an appointment-only system through Squire, allowing for a calm, unrushed, and individual experience.

What makes P2 different is the sense of connection beyond the haircut. Through our run clubs and P2 footy collective, we bring clients and team together in a relaxed, inclusive way - building a community of like-minded people around Tunbridge Wells.

Meet the team

    Tom Pelling - Co owner

    Tom started his career in a leading hairdressing salon, where he underwent comprehensive training and graduated with distinction.

    After three years of immersing himself in the salon environment and building a loyal clientele in the women's hair sector, Tom discovered his true passion lay in men's hairstyling.

    He made the transition to a men's salon to further refine his skills and knowledge, amassing a substantial following over six years. Although his primary focus was on men's hair, his time in the women's sector taught him the importance of professionalism and comfort in dealing with longer hair.

    After accumulating nine years of industry experience, Tom decided to take the leap and pursue his career-long dream of creating the ultimate mens hair experience, alongside his partner, Sam.

    Sam Punyer - Co owner

    Sam’s journey into men’s hair began a decade ago at a well established barbershop in central Tunbridge Wells where he undertook his apprenticeship along side a team of talented barbers.

    Through years of practice, he dedicated the time to his craft, mastering his techniques of haircuts, establishing his own distinctive stye and reputation.

    Having only qualified 2 years prior, Sam got his promotion to shop manager where he was accountable for 4 stylists whilst maintaining his fully booked column.

    Sam’s determination and talent ultimately allowed him to stand out in the world of men’s grooming, becoming a go-to barber for those seeking a top service and impeccable style.

    He felt that it was time to turn his dreams into reality by creating a collective of specialist’s who shared his ethos and passion for the industry.

    Eddie Head - Senior Stylist

    Eddie’s career began in London, where he honed his craft at a prestigious training academy, mastering every detail of hairdressing and styling. His time in London allowed him to work alongside industry leaders, gaining invaluable experience in advanced techniques and cutting-edge trends.

    Since returning home, Eddie has become a sought-after stylist, serving clients across Kent and Sussex. His dedication to staying ahead of industry trends means he's constantly evolving his skills, ensuring every client leaves feeling confident and looking their best.

    Eddie’s passion for the hair industry started at a young age, and he’s continuously experimented with styles.

    His creative vision, combined with precision and a keen eye for detail, allows him to deliver exceptional results tailored to each client’s unique needs.

    Tate Farley - Graduate Stylist

    Tate has successfully completed his Level 2 and Level 3 Barbering qualifications at college and has now joined The P2 Collective to take the next step in his professional journey.

    He is currently undertaking our P2 Principles Training Programme, designed to refine his skills, build confidence, and ensure he delivers services to the high standards we’re known for. This programme helps him develop advanced techniques in cutting, styling, and client care, as well as consultation and finishing.

    With a natural creative eye for detail and a genuine passion for modern barbering, Tate enjoys staying up to date with the latest trends and pushing his skills to the next level. We’re thrilled to have him as part of the team and can’t wait to see his growth continue. Be sure to give him a warm welcome on your next visit!

  • Ben Gutsell - Graduate Stylist

    Ben joins The P2 Collective with four years of industry experience and a real passion for his craft. He’s known for his precision with taper fades and textured cuts, creating styles that are modern, versatile, and tailored to each client.

    Ben is currently undertaking our P2 Principles Training Programme, designed to refine his techniques, build confidence, and ensure he delivers services to the high standards we’re known for. This programme will help him continue developing advanced skills in cutting, styling, and client care.

    With his calm approach, attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for barbering, Ben is a fantastic addition to the team. We’re excited to have him on board and look forward to seeing his journey unfold. Be sure to say hello next time you visit!

  • Kian Wicks - Apprentice

    Kian joined us in September as our newest apprentice, and he’s already become a brilliant part of the P2 team.

    You’ll find him in the salon on Fridays and Saturdays, keeping everything running smoothly and helping out wherever he’s needed.

    He’s currently balancing his college studies with hands-on experience, and he joins us every Monday evening for training nights to build his skills and confidence as he works towards becoming a stylist.

    Kian brings great energy to the salon - he’s eager to learn, always ready to help, and (very importantly) is already known for making the best coffee in the salon.

    A talent we all appreciate.

    We’re excited to support him on his journey and watch him grow within the P2 family.
